Void or no-data values in Eduard
Grids can contain void or no-data values. A void value indicates the absence of an elevation value.
Adjust the gray value for void values
Choose Shading (at the top-left of your screen) > Gray for Void Values.
Adjust the gray value with the slider.
Replace void values
Eduard can replace void values with another elevation value. This is useful when grid cells with void value indicate ocean surfaces.
Choose Grid (at the top of your screen) > Replace Void Values.
Enter the new elevation for void values.
Select Feather to create a smooth transition between valid values and the new elevation for void values. This is useful to avoid abrupt transitions when replacing void values in elevation models that encode ocean surfaces with values that are different from zero, such as the GEDTM. The Feathered Cells value determines the size of the smooth transition area.
Click Replace Void Values and save the grid to a new GeoTIFF file with lossless LZW compression.
