Grid outliers in Eduard

Grid outliers are elevation values that are very different from other values in the grid.

Extreme outliers result in a poor shading and you should  clip the outliers  to improve the shading.

When Eduard detects outliers, you see a message that indicates wether outliers are unusually low and/or high.

You can ignore this warning, if the shading looks acceptable.

Steep steps

Click Show Steep Steps or select Grid > Show Steep Steps to see sudden unusually steep slopes in the grid. Steep steps are highlighted in black.

The Steep Steps visualization may indicate spurious artifacts and can help you identify the location of outliers and identify errors in the elevation grid.
